I had this idea in mind for a while and it came to fruition late in November... I couldn't find the right shade of blue in felt and finally found it at Jo-Ann's.
Made a template of the mitten and began to cut away... felt causes a lot of lint!
Designed the base of the card:

finally, a bonus. I did a card swap with other bloggers and added this in for some friends as well. It came in handy for gifts...

i participated in a valentine's day card swap and came up with this re-vamped version of a card i made last year that never made it past my desk.
for the swap, it was a few lines from an emily bronte poem that i remembered: how do i love thee? let me count the ways.
for my single girlfriends, it said: happy singles awareness day! do we really need a reminder? kekeke...
Looks like postage will increase AGAIN on May 14th! So use up all of your old stamps and mail some just because cards now. :) OR go buy yourself some of those 'ugly' forever stamps. I may have to switch over to those from now on. :(
no greeting card is complete without a return address...
so you can add some personalized address labels to your order. they come in the following shapes/sizes - i'll have to post pictures of the other sizes later on. they are self-adhesive and will match your customized greeting cards.

growing up, it wasn't a good thing to bring a note home from your teacher... i guess it probably is still the same now... but sometimes, they have something good to say!
sooooooo i created these notecards... plus it helps because A LOT of my friends are teachers. some go by their first name and others use their last name from what i can remember... ellie - i used you as an example, hope that's ok! if you're not sure what to get the teachers of your kids or even some
friends who are teachers... here they are! the name will be changed
(obviously). they come in sets of 10 (5 of each design) with a coordinating envelope.
included are some sticker gift tags (1.5 inches in diameter - just peel off the backing) *these can also be made into gift tags on crisp, sturdy cardstock.
and scalloped sticker seals. (hey, alliteration... my english teacher would be proud) you can seal your envelope or add a touch to pretty much anything else. (1 inch in diameter - again, just peel off the backing. )
of course, these will come all wrapped up beautifully for you to use or give to someone else. 
sometimes... you know what to get someone and sometimes you have no idea... well here's one solution... a gift certificate to just the little things! that's right... i was inspired to create a gift certificate. i'm not set on the idea... but here's 2 for starters... maybe i'll make a few different designs and you can choose which one is best.
these gift certificates also come all packaged up for your recipient to enjoy opening up... because really, it's always nice to open up a gift rather than a plain envelope!
just some simple name cards... i mean, who doesn't love getting snail mail? :) and this way, you don't have to sign your name! well most people do anyways, but it's still personalized just for them.
so it comes with 4 different designs, 16 altogether (with coordinating envelopes of course). oh and these are just samples. these are available on textured cardstock as well.
a picture says a thousand words... and since i can't write heartfelt cards for the life of me, i have resorted to these mini-scrapbook cards. each one is different since they hold heartfelt pictures of the birthday person. each card seems to be getting better... i'm learning as i go along. let me know if you are interested in one.
you'll need to send me pictures (i can go and print them out) and i'll need to know color schemes that you would prefer... the rest is left to my creativity. prices vary on how many pictures are used. OH! and i'll leave space for you to write your heartfelt wishes.
