wedding pictures

I am slowly gathering pictures from various weddings that I coordinated/planned this past year. It's taking some time to edit the pictures to the right size. Each photographer has been gracious enough to send me low-res pictures to write about these weddings. I hope to write about one each week until I get all caught up!

In the meantime, I'll post this picture. Latoya and Chris had a sweet ceremony right next to the tent reception with an intimate gathering of dear friends and family. She used highlights of yellow all over and it brought such a nice touch to the wedding!

swap: from trash to treasure!

A few other bloggers mentioned this swap.. and from what I hear, she's quite overwhelmed with responses! Glad I made the cut. :) Becky from Sweetie Pie Press requests that you sign up with her and then send in a bunch of security envelopes and she sends you some buttons using security envelopes. I never even noticed the different patterns inside security envelopes. Can't wait to receive my goodies! I'll post them when I get them!

there's no place like home...

Whenever I have the chance of sitting near the window, I love seeing the ground during take-off and landing. I always try to get a shot, but am never successful. This was the closest I could get this time.

It always amazes me that everything is grid-like. When I'm on the ground, I assume that it's all zig-zagged and messy, but from afar, it's perfectly aligned. The pilot was kind enough to tell us when we passed by the Chicago skyline and if you really take a look, you can see the buildings as well as Navy Pier towards the bottom, slightly to the right. No matter where I go, there's no place like Chicago - the skyline is just beautiful and breath-taking each time I see it!

Sigh... I wish I lived near Portland because I'd be all over this sale! Eggpress was one of my first loves of letterpress. :)

If you notice today's date, it's all 1's. And in Korea, they celebrate it as Peppero Day because it looks like 4 Pepppero sticks. It's just a fun day to give your friends, family and loved ones - kind of like another Valentine's Day [or Sweetest Day in the US] but all you do is pass out Peppero packages. Peppero is a thin long biscuit cookie covered in chocolate except for one end. [These could be a cute party favor for a shower or for a kiddie bag]

tip: no cell phones allowed

As a bride, it's important to focus on the day and just relax and definitely not pick up any phone calls. So, try to hand over your phone to one of your bridesmaids or a personal assistant for the day especially after you get your hair and makeup done!

it's beginning to look a lot like christmas?

I went to visit the folks in Atlanta a week ago and some places are already putting up holiday decorations! I caught these men in action as they placed the bottom branches of the tree...  sigh. I don't think I'm even ready for Thanksgiving yet!
